The International High School for Health Sciences works with community partners to fulfill its mission of preparing its students for college and careers in healthcare. We are a member of the Internationals Network for Public Schools, an organization that has worked since 1985 to ensure all recent immigrant students have access to a quality high school education that prepares them for college, career and full participation in democratic society, thereby opening doors to the American Dream.
IHS-HS also works with the National Academy Foundation, which fosters partnerships between the business and education communities to provide opportunities to underserved students. For 30 years, NAF has refined a proven educational model which includes industry-focused curricula, work-based learning experiences, and business partner expertise.
Material for the Arts provides supplies for schools to use in classroom projects. Their rich inventory of repurposed materials unlocks student creativity and turns ordinary assignments into unique hands-on learning experiences.
The Theater Development Fund provides access to world-class performing arts to NYC high schools. Teaching artists visit classrooms to prepare students to experience live performances, using the city’s unmatched cultural resources for a unique learning experiences.
